A GLIMPSE INTO WHAT GOES ON AT RADIAN ONLINE ON A DAILY BASIS

Did you ever wonder what processes are involved in our attempt to meet your satisfactory needs whenever you shop with us Online? Well... This article will give you a pretty much summarised insight into what basically goes on behind the scenes at Radian Online Zambia including details from how your orders are processed, to how placing your order and having it delivered to you as our customer is documented.

There is quite a lot that goes into the process than a mare person would realise but fortunately for you, you’re yet to find out and hence, expand your understanding of our back-office processes. To get into it, there are four phases involved in the process from placing an order to having it delivered to your preferred address. Namely, the ordering phase, the loading phase, the transit phase and the delivery phase which you can further learn about in detail below and are applicable to both Local Lusaka Orders and outside Lusaka orders destined for countrywide destinations.


1. ORDERS


It all starts when you show special interest in any of our product(s) from our robust stock with the intent to make a purchase. The purchase can either be made through a quote request for a specific product(s) followed by a Quick Order request, or by visiting our Online Store on www.radianonline.co.zm and placing an order for your desired product(s). It’s also imperative to note that our Sales & Customer Service representatives are available via phone, email, social media channels and WhatsApp to help you in placing an order should any challenges arise during the process.

Upon placing an order and making payment for it using your preferred Method of Payment, the Sales & Customer Service Team steps in to confirm the accuracy of the information you provide while placing your order and ensure that your payment has actually been received on our end. Once your information and payment are confirmed, the Radian Online Sales team updates the Status of your order from “Pending Payment” to “Processing” to ensure that you get the correct order status should you decide to track your order through our Order Tracking system by providing your email address in combination with your order number. Therefore, your orders will only be processed upon receipt and confirmation of payment. Otherwise, the Radian Online Sales Team will get in touch with you after 36 hours since placing your order to enquire about the payment, as our system will automatically cancel all orders that are not paid for after 48 hours.


2. LOADING OF SHIPMENT


To offer you a more smooth and convenient shopping experience, the Radian Online Team maintains constant communication with you and the Warehouse Team responsible for securing and dispatching your products in line with your order. Upon confirmation of payment, the Radian Online Sales Team processes the order and puts in a request for the Warehouse Team to have the products ready and have them loaded on the delivery truck in accordance to your destination.

In addition, the products are further checked by the Radian Online Warehouse Team to ensure their well-placement and packaging so as to avoid any damages that may arise due to misplacement and improper packaging while in transit. To finalize the Loading of Shipment phase, the Radian Online Warehouse team takes note of the loaded orders and updates the order information reflected on the Scheduled Orders page accordingly while keeping the Radian Online Sales Team in the loop regarding the updates made.



3. IN-TRANSIT


With the Radian Online Sales Team in the loop on what orders have been loaded by the Warehouse Team, they make sure to update the statuses of your orders from the “Processing” status to the “In-Transit” status to make sure that you get the right order information should you then once again decide to check your order status. I addition to updating your order status, our system goes a further mile and automatically sends you an email addressed to the mailbox you provided us with while placing your order to alert you of the change in the status of your order and let you know that the order is on its way to you.


4. DELIVERY


Typically, our Local Lusaka orders are delivered withing 48 working hours after payment confirmation, while on the other hand, our Outside Lusaka orders are delivered within 7-14 working days after confirmation of payment. Should you like to have an estimate on when exactly you are likely to receive your Outside Lusaka order based on when you intend to place it. Kindly use our Scheduled Orders page as it has proven to be very resourceful for our Outside Lusaka customers. This goes without having to say that it does take less than 7 working days to deliver Outside Lusaka orders in most instances. However, due to unforeseen circumstances that maybe out of our control, we prefer to present the 7-14 working days mark in order for us to put a 100% personalised guarantee on having your order delivered to you.

Fortunately, if you’re a Lusaka City customer, your order will be delivered Free of Charge to your residential doorstep. Provided that your order total is above K150.00 and that your address is within 25 Kilometers from Lusaka City’s Central Business District (C.B.D).

Should you be outside Lusaka, your order will be delivered to your nearest preferred Radian Stores outlet Free of Charge, provided that your order total is equal to or greater than K20,000.00. We have more than 40 stores countrywide so a pickup point regardless of where you’re in Zambia shouldn’t be an issue. It is also important to note that any Outside Lusaka orders with a total of less than K20,000.00 attract a transportation charge of 5-7.5% of the order total but the upside is that you will still get your product(s) much cheaper as all product online are sold at Lusaka City prices which are much lower than Outside Lusaka prices.

Furthermore, once your order is delivered to your preferred Radian Stores Outlet, the Store Manager sends an email alerting the Radian Online Sales team of the receipt of your order. The Radian Online Sales team at this point goes ahead to update the status of your order in our system, sends you an email to inform you that your order is ready for collection from your preferred branch and then at the end of it all, give you a call to give you verbal confirmation regarding the readiness of your order.

For Local Lusaka orders, once your order has been dispatched by the Warehouse team, our drivers take up the responsibility of calling you before leaving our warehouse to let you know that they’re on their way to you and ask for further directions on how exactly they can get to you if need be. Later on, the driver will then call you once they arrive at your provided address to alert you of their arrival.
